Trying it out

My first blog, and what do I say? I guess if I am following the title of my blog I should be summarizing something. I am enjoying my Pesach vacation. I mean what is not to enjoy? Sitting at the Biltmore pool, sipping ice coffee, and creating my blog; so that when I leave for my trip next week, all I need to do is log in here and blog my experiences. For those of you who have no clue what I am talking about - I was selected (for lack of a better word) to join this amazing group of people going to 'follow in Herzl's footsteps'. This trip is sponsored by the World Zionist Organization, and should be an experience of a lifetime. We are traveling to Paris, Basle, Vienna, Budapest, and of course Israel. We have meetings with Ambassadors, Ministers, and programs that are going to be life changing and soul awakening.

The program I am part of is called Dor Hemshech - which means 'continuing generation' - for the next geeration of zionist leaders. Which brings me to why am I included in this group? One could say that by teaching an amazing bunch of 5th graders and high schoolers about Israel, for the past decade, is reason enough, but its not the only thing. This blog however I have created in honor of my current class at Bnai Israel - for they are so excited for me, and I just had to include them in this journey any way I could. So 5th grade - this blog is for you!
